{"id":217,"date":"2026-04-27T13:28:56","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T13:28:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wilmslowphoenix.co.uk\/?p=217"},"modified":"2026-04-27T14:08:11","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T14:08:11","slug":"annual-general-meeting-15th-june-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wilmslowphoenix.co.uk\/?p=217","title":{"rendered":"Annual General Meeting &#8211; 15th June 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>All members <\/strong>are invited and encouraged to attend the <strong>Annual General Meeting<\/strong> of <strong>Wilmslow Phoenix Sports Club (WPSC)<\/strong> at <strong>7:30pm Monday 15th June 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Phoenix committee is made up of representatives from all the sports at Oakwood Farm and is responsible for managing the clubhouse, bar, changing rooms, car park, access road and grass pitches.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Please come along &#8211; your club needs you<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We need a quorum of at least 30% of adult members<\/strong> of <strong>Wilmslow Hockey Club<\/strong> and <strong>Wilmslow Lacrosse Club<\/strong>\u00a0(the two &#8220;Constitutent Sections&#8221; or full members of Phoenix). Please come along to support your club and have your say!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adult members of other sports (Styal Running Club, Lindow Cricket Club, Wilmslow Sports Junior Football Club) are welcome\u00a0to attend but only adult members of WHC and WLC can vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AGM Agenda<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Approve the minutes of last year&#8217;s AGM<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receive reports from the Chair &amp; Secretary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receive a report from the Treasurer and approve the Annual\u00a0Accounts for 2025\/2026\u00a0(including a report from those responsible for certifying the Club\u2019s\u00a0accounts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agree the club budget for 2026\/2027<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resolutions:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Approve the approach to Incorporation of WPSC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Approve Wilmslow Sports as a Constituent Section of WPSC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Approve the addition of a 3G pitch on site<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Re-elect the President (Steve Kinsella)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Elect the Council Members for next year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deal with other relevant business.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The minutes of the last meeting can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/wilmslowphoenix.co.uk\/?p=184&amp;swcfpc=1\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/wilmslowphoenix.co.uk\/?p=184&amp;swcfpc=1\">on the website here<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/wilmslowphoenix.co.uk\/?p=184&amp;swcfpc=1\">.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Could you help run our club?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The club is run by volunteers on behalf of all members<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0As usual, all committee positions are up for election at the AGM.\u00a0<strong>Could you offer to take one of the positions<\/strong>\u00a0or contribute on an occasional basis?
